Two questions.

1 - Will the pins be available for purchase at this weekend's meeting?

2 - Can we request a specific pin number? (like number 420 of 1,000 - trying to eliminate the need to purchase it via ebay like I did the last one).

MK and Frank K will be at the meeting this Saturday to collect payment for pins. Orders will not be taken at the meeting - please use the website. However, the backer card for the pins will likely not be available this weekend so the mounted pins will have to be delivered at a later date. This weekend, its payments only.

Specific pin numbers can be requested, but at this time we are making no guarantees. As stated above, the backer cards are not yet available, and that's where the numbers will be written, so this likely will not be a problem. However, again, no guarantees. Please indicate your requested pin number in the notes section when you place your order on the website.

In case anyone is wondering the cost of the pin is $10 --- shipping is free in the US. There is a small 'bug' in the way paypal handles the transaction and it shows $9 + $1 shipping --- but the total still works out!

We received a copy of the Children's Inn News today in the mail, on page 7 the DCSWCC is listed as a donor. Here is a copy of the article:

It's a small world--more comments from the Inn

Yes, it's a very small world we live in.

Tonight my wife found out that my daughter's friend's mom works at the Children's Inn at NIH. She was fully aware of the donation our group made and the check presentation. She said she saw all of the pictures from the event and was very sorry that she couldn't be there that evening. She works for the Activities Coordinator who was one of the people I was in contact with.

Anyway, she said it's an amazing thing we did and they all appreciate us sponsoring the breakfasts each morning since then and for several months to come.

I guess if we do a presentation for the remainder of the donation, I'll have to give her a heads-up so she can plan on attending.

Thanks to everyone who's bought or sold the Chewie pins so far.
